Wood Wick Candle Care

Start with the wick in mind.  We don’t like a lot short, BUT let’s keep the wood wicks short

This is an important tip....keep your wick trimmed. Trim the wooden wick before your first burn to 1/8 inch. Before your next burn, we suggest using candle wick trimmers to trim the wood wick to 1/8 inch again before re-lighting. If the wick is too long, it cannot absorb the wax and burn properly. Most problems with wooden wick candles can be solved by trimming the wick! Keep

Light it up! Lighting a wood wick is simple yet sometimes tricky.

Let’s be sure to take a lighter; ignite the lighter; hold the lighter over the wood wick until you notice the flame is dancing maybe 10 seconds; remove the lighter and the wood wick should now be too lit to quit! .... MAKE sure you have followed step one prior to lighting.

#Enjoy the Burn 2 to 4-hour increments.

Ok so your candle has been properly trimmed; it is in a well-ventilated area; you are prepared to stay with your candle the ENTIRE time it is lit. So now you want it to burn so you can watch it, right?!  The first time let it burn for 1 hour to ensure that your candle reaches a FULL wax pool and melts EVENLY.  NOTE: an uneven melt/wax pool can drown the wick & create problems lighting the wick. For SAFETY and to preserve longevity of the scent in the candle, do not burn wooden wick candles longer than 4 hours at a time.
